About the role:

Our Full Stack Software Engineer will work on building our software system and improving it to deliver a better user experience. As a small team, we’re all generalists who work together and jump in wherever needed. The candidate should be extremely capable, willing to get their hands dirty, excited about joining an early-stage company, and thrives off of the pressures and challenges of working in an unstructured environment.

Job responsibilities:

This is the scope of work the job entails — although we are all Crew, so we help each other succeed outside of these core responsibilities

  • Design and implement exciting new features

  • We trust you to work largely independently, so you can own every part of a service from top to bottom

  • Improve the performance of existing features

  • Iterate quickly on our existing code base

  • Obsessively taking user feedback into account

  • Make improvements as you see them, taking initiative to improve the product in a rapidly changing environment

  • Work closely with the founding team to make key decisions around the direction of the product based on real data and user feedback

  • Talk to users!

Requirements for this role:

These are the minimum requirements we are looking for in this role

  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack development

  • Familiarity with JavaScript/Typescript and React

  • Familiarity with the Python backend (our backend codebase is largely built in Python)

  • Knowledge of how to build great user experiences across platforms

  • Be passionate and open-minded about productivity tools and information discovery

The ideal candidate also has:

  • 6+ years of experience in full-stack development

  • Has experience working with Chrome Extensions

  • Has experience mentoring other full-stack engineers or building a team
